The aim of this work is to conduct a review of the existing literature about this phenomenon, with a special emphasis on the distinctive characteristics of the aggressors who perform the act of homicide followed by suicide which mostly have to do with different risk factors such as suicidal ideation, the age of the aggressor, premeditation, use of weapons or the history of mental illness (depression).El feminicidio seguido de suicidio constituye un fenómeno complejo y poco estudiado. Hasta la fecha, muy pocos estudios han abordado esta problemática de manera conjunta, examinando el homicidio de la pareja íntima y el posterior suicidio.
