Summary: The immediacy, brevity and visibility from which Twitter operates are beneficial qualities to improve the institutional performance and channeling of citizen participation of electronic governments, linking institutional communication and public management into a single service path of attention. An example of this is the work of the Agencia de Gestión Urbana de la Ciudad de México with the account @072CDMX, which managed 32,909 requests for urban services in 2014. By September 2015, had reached an interaction of 550,000 published tweets and 64,400 followers. Differing to the digital marketing strategies used to gain influence, this paper recommends relevance as the mail goal of e-government accounts through networking. To establish the relevance of @072CDMX in their follower community, a content analysis of 881 tweets (compiled on November 16, 2015) has been performed
