In this paper, we begin by discussing the notion of project and to place it in the
context of developmental psychology and education studies; our starting point is as
follows: how to succeed a certain stage of life? To answer this question, the proposition
we develop today uses a precondition, that of developmental tasks and concerns
the devising of a project.
Not to remain vague, we substantiate this idea in the area of education and of a
particular stage of life: adolescence. Different examples concern this stage of life. We
begin by asking about the fact that certain people appear to present a harmonious
growth when others are demotivated, are bored, don’t seem to progress in anything
(Galand & Bourgeois, 2006). School climates are particularly suitable to this type of findings. That is why we turn
first to schooling. One thing is clear: without wanting it, we don’t learn. How educators,
teachers can they stimulate the wish to learn without taking the place of the
student? Our proposal joins that of Pernoud (2001) and concerns the student’s project
and more globally the training project. It is enriched by a synthesis of research on the
concept of project in the contemporary scientific literature.
In the last section of this paper we also show that it not enough to question the
academic project, the socio-emotional project and the development of identity are the
foundation on which the training project establishes itself. |
