Summary: Are there different types of democratic regimes or the model is the same for all countries? Following this issue we analyze some concepts, in particular the concept of ‘democracy’ and of ‘separation of powers’. In addition, we proceed to the exemplification of this conceptualization through the analysis of the Constitution of the Republic of Angola. The results confirmed the importance of the University’s role in the consolidation of the democratic process showing, in this case, the educational policy followed by the new cycle of Oscar Ribas University.
