Summary: On 23 July 2015, the Catalan Parliament approved a law which introduces and regulates two new forms of property in the Catalan legal system, namely, temporary property and joint property. Since they facilitate both the acquisition and the exercise of ownership, these two legal forms of property have the virtue of making the model of ordinary property and co-property more flexible in the systems of civil law. With the aim of informing the specialised public of these forms of property, this paper offers a general analysis of the new law regulating them.
