The present research had as purpose to know the level of the academic performance of the
students in the subject of Statistics of the Escuela Profesional de Ingeniería Civil of Uladech
Católica. This is a descriptive and non-experimental design. As the population was
small, all students of the 2nd cycle, groups A and B who studied the subject of Statistics,
were considered for the study. The following exclusion criteria were considered: disqualified
students and students who dropped out of Unit I or did not attend, were not in a
group and did not submit papers. That is why Group E was not considered because the students did not attend regularly. To perform the descriptive study of students’ academic
performance, the methodology of descriptive statistics based on frequency distributions
was used; Descriptive measures such as arithmetic mean, global mean, variance, global
variance, standard deviation and coefficient of variation. The academic performance of
the students was at a regular level and good for both Group A and Group B. |
