Finally, the main provisions of the General Law of Human Settlements, Territorial Ordering and Urban Development for the treatment of urban conflict are reviewed and make some final comments on social participation and the right to the cityEn el presente artículo se hace una revisión teórico-conceptual sobre los conflictos urbanos. En general, se explica por qué surgen, si son propios de las dinámicas urbanas, cómo se dirimen y cuáles son las relaciones con el derecho. Para ello, en la primera parte, se revisan algunos conceptos desde la sociología, como movimiento social, conflicto y cambio social; en segundo lugar, se define y explica el conflicto urbano; los diferentes tipos y las formas de solucionarlos, así como su relación con la gobernanza y la gobernabilidad metropolitana.
