After then we review two Brazilian legislative proposals for direct elections in Southern Common Market that enable outline the treatment of the issue in Brazil to implement an electoral legislative review of the Southern Common Market’s democracy that get access the region’s population to sub-regional governmental instances governmental.O presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar as propostas dos projetos de leis para as eleições diretas para o Parlamento do MERCOSUL em face da tentativa do aperfeiçoamento institucional na integração econômica do bloco econômico regional. Para isto, faz-se uma digressão sobre as eleições diretas e a questão do déficit democrático no MERCOSUL, inclusive sobre a busca de um sistema eleitoral equilibrado.
