Authoritarianism, esprit de corps and the opacity of the military hardly find a democratic model. In the speech there was a social fabric promoted by the missions, but with the economic crisis and its two pivots, inflation and scarcity, theresponse was not very popular world solidarity, but individualistic and competitive.Edgardo Lander desde su postura de izquierda, realiza grandes cuestionamientos al proceso Bolivariano de Venezuela, por el intento de legitimar al procesosobre la base de lo ya existente, profundizando, además, el modelo rentista petrolero. Al declarar el carácter socialista de la llamada revolución bolivariana, en 2005, se inicia una organización vertical y leninista de las comunas y los consejos comunales que lo pinta todo de rojo, rojito, acaba con la noción de autonomía y liquida la democracia participativa.El autoritarismo, el espíritu de cuerpo y la opacidad de los militares difícilmente se encuentren con un modelo democrático.
