It is the result of a teaching innovation project aiming to respond to queries posed by the general public, third sector entities and the public administration. Students in their third and fourth year of the Law Degree solve problems related to rent, mortgage or condominium, for example, under the tight supervision of professors and other collaborators (mainly lawyers, economists, mediators and financial experts with solid backgrounds in banking). This experience promotes innovation in teaching, since it entails the practical implementation of case-based learning, as well as promoting values of social awareness and justice that are essential to the legal profession.ClinHab es el acrónimo con el que se conoce a la Clínica Jurídica en Derecho inmobiliario y Mediación residencial (www.clinhab.com), que es el resultado de un proyecto docente surgido para dar respuesta, desde la Universidad, a las consultas sobre vivienda formuladas por los particulares, las entidades sociales y las Administraciones públicas. Los estudiantes de los últimos cursos del Grado de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Barcelona proporcionan información jurídica y financiera ante los problemas planteados en materia de alquiler, hipoteca o comunidad de propietarios, por citar solo algunos ejemplos relacionados con la vivienda, bajo la estrecha supervisión del profesorado y de otros colaboradores (fundamentalmente: abogados, economistas, mediadores y algunas personas procedentes de la banca, especialistas en finanzas).
