Furthermore, the Social State has the duty to guarantee the freedom information to the public, what involves new problems such as the control of the messages against detestable expressions or the Broadcasting Councils.Las libertades informativas son el presupuesto para la existencia de una opinión pública libre como base del sistema democrático. La libertad de expresión se ha visto tradicionalmente amenazada por los gobernantes, pero también por las grandes empresas mediáticas que defienden sus propios intereses. Los mecanismos de autorregulación de los medios de comunicación pueden tener un papel destacado en este contexto.
