Also, it highlights the importance of double checking�inclusion test and unfairness test� in order to guarantee the protection of consumer´s interests. Furthermore, the article refers to the changes carried out with the approval of the European Directive on consumer rights following the same goal: the consumer protection.El presente trabajo versa sobre la trayectoria de la regulación de las cláusulas abusivas durante las ya dos décadas desde la promulgación de la Directiva europea 93/13/CEE, así como de las consecuencias jurídicas de su transposición en el ordenamiento jurídico español a través de la Ley de Condiciones Generales de la Contratación y del Texto Refundido sobre la Ley General de Defensa de los Consumidores y Usuarios. Se aborda la noción de condiciones generales de la contratación y de cláusula abusiva, resaltándose la importancia de ejercer un doble control �de incorporación y de contenido� para garantizar la protección de los derechos e intereses de los consumidores.
