Summary: In this paper the author proposes to read the recently approved Bolivian Constitution since the point of view of one of its main features regarding the type of State it creates: the formulation of the Plurinational Communitarian State. To this end the author synthesizes the content of the �discourse of the indigenous cultural difference� and points its role as one of the ideological main sources under grounding the constitutional text. Besides, using such discourse as an interpretation key, the author studies its influence in the main parts of the Constitution and points some consequences of the inclusion of the plurinationality principle in the Bolivian constitutional system
