Summary: The license is a canonical institute which has different meanings in the Ecclesial Law. The main purposed of this research is the license in its own sense: The nature and the status of the canonical license in itself and in its related figures in the framework of the connection and the organicity of singular administrative acts. Nature can be deduced from what the legislator sets when you using these terms in the canons terms. The word licentia in the Code of Canon Law has a large semantic field that is traceable to the meaning of permission or authorization.
