The aim of this article is to analyze their advantages, disadvantages and probabilities to turn into a reality.Las fuerzas de reacción rápida son mecanismos diseñados para desplazarse de manera inmediata al escenario donde estalle una grave crisis humanitaria, para prestar así la atención inicial urgente que merece la población civil. Pese a sus bondades, su puesta en marcha a nivel universal ha sido, de momento, imposible, y sólo algunas organizaciones regionales han logrado crearlas de manera formal, aunque con éxito dispar.
