Summary: Research and teaching are the backbone of the mission universities should be entrusted with. Is a binomial which, properly combined, emphasizes the role performed by the university as social service and fundamental pillar for professional training. After describing some features linked to legal research and teaching innovation, this paper explores these disciplines from a practical perspective. For this purpose, the study presents the development of a workshop conducted by the author as evidence of the interaction between teaching and research in university classes. This project represents an instance of the innovative teaching that is being developed at European and Spanish in particular- universities, following the implementation of the "Bologna Process" promoted by the European Union within the European territory.
