In accordance with this situation, since 2006 some of the autonomous communities have approved new Statutes of Autonomy that contain a European vision that they lacked before and provide for new forms of participation in their regulatory processes.En el contexto de integración europea, cobra un interés especial Comunidades Autónomas españolas, tanto en la fase de formación de la voluntad del Estado (fase ascendente), conformando primero una posición común autonómica, y acompañando después al Estado en las reuniones de la Comisión y del Consejo Europeo, como en la fase de aplicación de la normativa comunitaria (fase descendente), ejecutando el derecho europeo en la parte que le corresponda a las Comunidades Autónomas, de acuerdo a su competencia material.
