Summary: International buying and selling is one of the main aspects that drive contemporary International Economic Law. This article pretends to illustrate the importance of the Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) in the international regulatory system, under the context of international society. For this purpose, we will describe essential characteristic in reference to the Colombian juridical ordinance and will evaluate the ratification processes in Latin American countries. The focus of the document will be the transmission of risk, particularly in the articles 66 and 67 of the CISG, which would be the transmission derivate from the loss or deterioration of the merchandise and the transmission in the buying and selling that involves merchandise transportation. The document will study these regulations in the light of international jurisprudence and doctrine.
