Summary: Topics dealing with the invasion and conquest of Peru are presented by secondary education texts from a Europeanised viewpoint. The chroniclers version is based on the events and terms used by such authors which do not go far beyond simple narration, stimulating memorism, they lack critical sense and deform historical reality. The impression of the conquest which emerges from their pages deals with a success which began and ended in Cajamarca, paying little attention to the technical and military elements brought by unknown Spaniards to the New World, as well as the political crisis which Tawantinsuyo was undergoing when they arrived, whilst native resistance to the invasion is almost forgotten.
