Summary: |
This paper reveals some ethical concepts underlying the human rights established
in the 1991 Political Constitution of Colombia. The predominating ethics in this
context is the deontological ethics, especially Kants formal theory of moral
behavior. To show this, three points are developed: firstly, the ethical principles
of the fundamental human rights are shown; secondly, the relationship between
humanism and human rights is studied in depth; and finally, it concludes with
decision making and fundamental human rights. In this sense, the hypothesis
defended in this paper reads as follows: human rights are supported by some moral
principles which involve human beings both, from their theoretical condition, and
from their practical condition in the world. |
