It is concluded that these systems have technological limitations that affect the nature of the procedure and the main characteristics of this, so that the existence of fully automated procedures means a denaturation of this alternative dispute resolution mechanism, at least since the current development of the technology.El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar las posibilidades de uso de sistemas de inteligencia artificial en el procedimiento de mediación. Para su realización se parte de la distinción entre mediación y mediación electrónica, y entre esta y la que utiliza inteligencia artificial. El análisis se realiza desde dos perspectivas, a) la sustitución de la figura del mediador por el sistema y b) la utilización de este último como auxilio en el proceso de mediación.
