Summary: Distance marketing of financial services to consumers has changed very rapidly in recent years. Digitalisation has contributed to the evolution and transformation of this market; and in this area of financial services, in which certain products or services are complex and difficult to understand, the legal attribution of the right of withdrawal to consumers, in addition to constituting an individual consumer protection measure, can generate confidence in the use of telematic means in contracting and thus promote distance contracts for financial services.
