Since it is a systematized pro-cess of collection, selection, evaluation and analysis of information, which has been obtained through elec-tronic means in different repositories and search engines such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, Pubmed, among others, using the different Boolean operators for them. and that will serve as a documentary source, for the topic raised above. The evidence analyzed is decisive in affirming the great advantages and benefits of regional blocks in the management of postoperative pain, with the use of multimodal analgesia, however, in many cases this continues to be a challenge for anesthesiologists, being able to block The passage of the pain signal in all its phases is essential.El dolor agudo postquirúrgico constituye uno de los principales problemas en el período postoperatorio, por su asociación con futuras complicaciones y la posibilidad de largas estancias hospitalarias, por tanto, es una prioridad su manejo efectivo. La presente investigación se enmarca dentro de una metodología de tipo biblio-gráfica documental. Ya que es un proceso sistematizado de recolección, selección, evaluación y análisis de la información, que se ha obtenido mediante medios electrónicos en diferentes repositorios y buscadores tales como Google Académico, Science Direct, Pubmed, entre otros, empleando para ellos los diferentes operadores booleanos y que servirán de fuente documental, para el tema antes planteado.
