The technological evolution that has progressively transformed operating rooms has led to an important advance in sur-gical procedures. Robotic surgery stands out in this century as a model, a new form of teaching, to which health systems aspire for the treatment of dissimilar surgical entities, it assumes as premises the quality, precision and rapid recovery of the patients who undergo the procedures. This research is framed within a documentary bibliographic type methodology. Since it is a systematized process of collection, selection, evaluation and analysis of information, which has been obtained through electronic means in different repositories and search engines such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, Pubmed, among others, using the different Boolean operators for them. and that will serve as a documentary source, for the topic raised above. The prospects for robotic surgery in the future are very ambitious, increasing the number of surgeries in the world, further extending the field of action to other pathologies, which have not yet been implemented. The incorporation of artificial intelligence to perform remote surgeries is perhaps the most ambitious advance to date. The advances are aimed at improving what currently exists in robotics, the ability of the textures of the organs to which the surgeon has access in conventional procedures that do not exist in robotic surgery, greater fields of action, that is, greater freedom of movement, the arms of the smallest robots and to universalize access to robotic surgery, since there are few countries that have these technologies and how expensive it is to access them.

A cirurgia robótica surge neste século como um modelo, uma nova forma de ensino, a que os sistemas de saúde aspiram para o tratamento de diversas entidades cirúrgicas, que assume como pre-missas a qualidade, a precisão e a rápida recuperação dos pacientes que se submetem aos procedimentos. A presente investigação enquadra-se numa metodologia bibliográfica documental. Uma vez que se trata de um processo sistemati-zado de recolha, seleção, avaliação e análise da informação, que foi obtida por via eletrónica em diferentes repositórios e motores de busca como o Google Scholar, Science Direct, Pubmed, entre outros, utilizando para tal os diferentes operado-res booleanos e que servirá de fonte documental, para o tema acima levantado. As perspectivas para a cirurgia robótica no futuro são muito ambiciosas, aumentando o número de cirurgias no mundo, alargando o campo de ação a outras pa-tologias, que ainda não foram implementadas. A incorporação da inteligência artificial para a cirurgia à distância é talvez o avanço mais ambicioso até à data. Os avanços visam melhorar o que existe atualmente na robótica, a capacidade das texturas dos órgãos a que o cirurgião tem acesso nos procedimentos convencionais que não existem na cirurgia robótica, maiores campos de ação, ou seja, maior liberdade de movimentos, braços robóticos mais pequenos e acesso universal à cirurgia robótica, uma vez que são poucos os países que dispõem destas tecnologias e o seu acesso é dispendioso.La evolución tecnológica que progresivamente ha ido transformando los quirófanos, ha propiciado un importante adelanto en los procedimientos quirúrgicos, la cirugía robótica se alza en este siglo como un modelo, una nueva forma de la enseñanza, a la cual aspiran los sistemas de salud para el tratamiento de disímiles entidades quirúrgicas, la misma asume como premisas la calidad, precisión y rápida recuperación de los enfermos que se someten a los procedimientos. La presente investigación se enmarca dentro de una metodología de tipo bibliográfica documental. Ya que es un proceso sistematizado de recolección, selección, evaluación y análisis de la información, que se ha obtenido mediante medios electrónicos en diferentes repositorios y buscadores tales como Google Académico, Science Direct, Pubmed, entre otros, empelando para ellos los diferentes operadores booleanos y que servirán de fuente documental, para el tema antes planteado. Las perspectivas de la cirugía robótica a futuro son muy ambiciosas, aumentar la cantidad de cirugías en el mundo, al extender aún más el campo de acción a otras patologías, que en la actualidad no se han implementado. La incorporación de la inteligencia artificial para la realización de cirugías a distancia, tal vez es el avance más ambicioso hasta ahora.
