Summary: The literature suggests that metropolitan spaces are characterized by the emergence of new issues to be resolved, new intervening actors and new coordination relationships, thus configuring complex governance. Although this has been of interest to specialists, there is little development of studies that address this issue in the South American context, as part of the global south. This article tries to make a contribution to this question by studying the case of governance in the Metropolitan Region of Córdoba, Argentina, 2019. The analysis shows: a) a diversity of relationships that articulate governmental and non-governmental actors from different levels, participating in multiple forums and coordination relationships around various issues. b) a network of coordination relationships that shows a polycentric and multilevel governance; c) finally, it suggests a polycentrality given by the performance of some local governments that have greater institutional complexity
