Therefore, the bioethical orientation towards the limitation of life support allows a dignified death in pediatric patients with irreversible diseases. Therefore, a review of the existing interdisciplinary bibliography was prepared using the Prisma methodology with inclusion criteria: peer-reviewed scientific articles in English and Spanish, from January 1, 2018, to September 30, 2022, with the databases: Cochrane Library, Pubmed, ProQuest, Science Direct and Scopus with Keywords: "Child Advocacy", "Ethics", "Futility", "Do Not Attempt Resuscitation", "Decision Making". From which four relevant themes emerge: 1) futility; 2) suffering; 3) clinical criteria; and 4) best interests of the child, which together guide the limitation of life support in critical pediatric patients with life-limiting diseases from bioethics. Key Words: Child Advocacy, Ethics, Medical Futility, Do Not Attempt Resuscitation, Decision Making.La medicina ha tenido una vanguardia científica con valiosos desarrollos tecnológicos en las unidades de cuidados intensivos pediátricos, sin embargo, estos tratamientos invasivos y onerosos en niños con patologías que limitan la vida prolongan la muerte sin mayores beneficios. Por lo que, la orientación bioética hacia la limitación del soporte vital permite una muerte digna en pacientes pediátricos con enfermedades irreversibles. Por consiguiente, se elaboró una revisión de la bibliografía interdisciplinar existente bajo metodología Prisma con criterios de inclusión: artículos científicos revisados por pares en inglés y español, desde el 1ero de enero de 2018 hasta el 30 de septiembre de 2022, con las bases de datos: Cochrane Library, Pubmed, ProQuest, Science Direct y Scopus con Palabras Clave: “Defensa del Niño”, “Ética”, “Futilidad”, “No Intentar Resucitar”, “Toma de Decisiones”.
