Sumario: The investigation seeks to analyze the crime of embezzlement and the relationship it has with public servants and their families, where it has been shown that it has proliferated in all spheres of government, in the midst of a state of exception, thus affecting the good public administration. It was developed from the quantitative approach with a descriptive methodology with a non-experimental design, which was supported by the documentary-bibliographic analysis. It consisted of the review of existing bibliographic material regarding the subject to be studied. By stating that there is a lack of political will to eradicate the crime of embezzlement, it is true that agencies have been created to combat corruption, the results have not been entirely encouraging, perhaps the product of political affiliations.
