The study is an investigation with a documentary descriptive methodology with a bibliographic design, allowing documentary exploration in bibliographic and legal sources, previous research, journalistic articles, articulating a theoretical reflective body as a contribution to strengthening the legal-theoretical foundation of law. Regarding the results, the different public agencies are purchasing the goods and services necessary to face the COVID-19 crisis using accelerated procedures under the rules of the legal public procurement regime. It is concluded that transparency must be guaranteed in the fulfillment of the contracting and established norms so that citizens are aware of the expenses of state resources and avoid acts of corruption.El objetivo de la investigación es analizar la corrupción en tiempos de COVID-19 desde la contratación pública en el Ecuador. El estudio es una investigación con una metodología de tipo descriptiva documental con un diseño bibliográfico, permitiendo la exploración documental en fuentes bibliográficas, jurídicas, investigaciones previas, artículos periodísticos, articulando un cuerpo reflexivo teórico como contribución al fortalecimiento del basamento teórico-jurídico del derecho. En cuanto a los resultados, las diferentes agencias públicas están comprando los bienes y servicios necesarios para hacer frente a la crisis COVID-19 utilizando procedimientos acelerados bajo las reglas del régimen legal de contratación pública.
