Summary: The objective is to analyze the impact on disciplinary processes due to the deficient classification of administrative infractions of university professors. The scope of the study is descriptive, supported by a documentary analysis. The disciplinary processes established in the UTMACH Statute are carried out in accordance with administrative sanctioning law. However, they should be reviewed succinctly by the Council of Higher Education whenever a correct application of the disciplinary regime can be evidenced. Each institution has the administrative power to impose corrective and disciplinary sanctions, however, these must be subject to the principles of legality, proportionality, and responding to factual facts duly proven and motivated. That is to say, whoever has incurred in a minor, serious or very serious offense has the right to have it processed through a sanctioning system that complies with constitutional precepts.
