Both terms have always gone hand in hand since the law is shaped and structured based on a political conception, remember that Ecuador is a constitutional state of rights and justice, this conception was born as a result of the 2008 constitution which was drafted based on a new political project of that time, that is why it is important to understand why these two terms are so important to understand the sociological reality of law. The research method used was descriptive documentary type with bibliographic design. With the realization of this research we seek to promote the study of law with politics, since understanding the influence of these two terms is vital to understand the power relations in a state. Este trabajo investigativo tiene como finalidad dar a conocer de manera objetiva la relación que existe entre el derecho y la política. Ambos términos siempre han ido de la mano ya que el derecho es moldeado y estructurado en base a una concepción política, recordemos que el Ecuador es un estado constitucional de derechos y justicia, esta concepción nació a raíz de la constitución del 2008 que fue redactada en base a un nuevo proyecto político de ese entonces, es por eso la importancia de entender porque estos dos términos son tan importantes para entender la realidad sociológica del derecho. El método de investigación utilizado fue de tipo descriptiva documental con diseño bibliográfico.
