Summary: n recent decades, environmental awareness is a topic that concerns everyone. Several natural catastrophes and changes in climatic conditions have been seen all over the planet, as a result of the bad decisions that humanity has made regarding environmental care. The methodology used for this research work. The technique for data collection is made up of electronic materials, the latter such as Google Scholar, among others, relying on the use of certified descriptors and endorsed by the UNESCO thesaurus. The information obtained here will be reviewed for further analysis. The issue of environmental conservation is not something new, before the revolution in communication and information technologies, television and radio were the most consumed media, although not accessible to everyone, and these were limited to denouncing environmental catastrophes produced by man, but without exercising a function of raising awareness about caring for the environment. Decades later with the advent of the internet, smartphones and social networks, now there are more possibilities to generate content that can reach more people, the agencies in charge of protecting the environment use these networks to generate awareness and care content for the environment. environment, as well as complaints against its exploitation, destruction and contamination, however, it must be made clear that awareness is a process that requires the support of multidisciplinary teams, since awareness is raised when the problem affects the citizen directly, which implies that there is no empathy for others when an environmental problem is not experienced directly.
