Summary: The relation between faith and politics is often paradoxical, but it is not the only one. Ideologies and real facts are indeed a strange mix full of contradictions even not absurdities. Only a serious analysis of historical events in the theoretical and concrete contexts could give us some more clear image of what happened and seems to happen again, but in very different conditions. The case of Islam during its 14 centuries of life should be an interesting object to study, far from superficial and odd shortcuts even in comparison with other political-religious traditions.
