Summary: The new technologies; among them the Internet, computers, mobile devices and others, have an impact on the different areas of the society in which we live, after its constant irruption at work, home, leisure. For several years now, the education sector has been influenced by the digital age. people, processes, data and things represent the fundamental pillars of a technology that, in the educational area, which, especially in education, are gradually changing the traditional way in which teachers carry out their processes and teaching-learning, research, management and tutorial activities, in an intelligent environment. The interest in developing this study has arisen from all of the above and from the growing potential that the Internet of Things represents in childhood learning. For this reason, it has been arranged to carry out a bibliographic review in order to expose the subject matter. The results present current meanings about the technology of the internet of things, its main characteristics, the impact and the challenges of said system in education. In short, there seems to be no doubt that the use of this type of technology can have a positive impact on education, given that there is already favorable evi-dence of its application both in the teaching-learning process in children and in other equally important aspects.
