Adolescence as the period of human growth and development and adolescent health refers to the state of physical, mental and social well-being, and not the mere absence of disease. Comprehensive health care is a continuous and quality pro-vision of care oriented towards health promotion, prevention, recovery and rehabilitation for people, in the context of their family and community. The proposed study is relevant because it is a topical issue that occupies the agenda of national and international health organizations and that is also inserted within the Millennium Goals and the health policies of Ecua-dor, oriented to the defense of sexual rights and reproductive. On the subject that convened the present investigation, an important collection of various reports has been made, both international, national, regional and local, which, duly analyzed and systematized, have become important references to support the study, resulting in original contributions. . Physio-logical, psychological and physical changes occur during adolescence, which by their nature expose them to an intense spectrum of very particular stimuli that influence their health in a decisive way. This stage is essential to forge lifestyles and risk behaviors, which will manifest themselves during adult life as determinants of health. Adolescents also start their sex-ual life active and therefore are exposed to pregnancies at a very early age, abortions, infections by sexually transmitted agents. Despite the existence of the services and their accessibility, it is suggested that many adolescents face barriers that the almost exclusive incorporation of women into these centers, unlike men, in whom there is greater reluctance due to the demand for differentiated care services and It seems that the strategies to promote the demand of adolescents are not consistent with their needs |
