Las bandas de tejido, llamadas “ligamentos” (cápsula de la cadera), conectan la esfera con la cavidad y brindan estabilidad a la articulación, se presentan entre 20000 y 30000 casos nuevos de reemplazo de cadera cada año en Estados Unidos y aunque se han descrito múltiples tratamientos en los cuales se incluyen la descompresión central, el uso de injertos vascularizados o incluso osteotomías óseas, la artroplastia total de cadera, es considerada por muchos autores como el tratamiento más razonable. Se construye una base de datos bibliográfica digital con validez y reconocimiento académico, el cual, una vez analizados según su vigencia y relevancia se ordenan y presentan en un documento completo y conciso que expone el tema.
