El análisis de las notas de prensa sobre el suministro y consumo de agua nos permite explicar el fenómeno. El objetivo de este trabajo fue explicar el encuadre de la prensa a partir de sus notas durante el periodo de 2019 a 2022. Se consideraron los informes alusivos al uso residencial del agua como prevención del COVID-19 en torno al lavado de utensilios, manos, higiene personal e ingestión. Los resultados muestran que las notas relacionadas con la Organización Mundial de la Salud fueron más creíbles que las alusivas a las conferencias del gobierno mexicano en materia de gestión de riesgos.Abstract The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have drawn attention to the issues related to water resources. Scarcity and insalubrity have been invoked by social representations aiming to link the SDGs with sustainable residential use. The analysis of press releases on the supply and consumption of water allows us to explain the phenomenon. The objective of this work was to explain the framing of the press, based on their articles during the 2019-2022 period. Reports alluding to the residential use of water as a mean to prevent COVID-19 by washing cutlery, hands, personal hygiene, and food were considered.
