Saint Augustine will make a deep, radical, committed critique of political society and clarifies that religious society must always guide political society. It will make possible the philosophy of history. Fray Luis would always defend the right of man to possess his full freedom, this would lead to a fatal consequence: the prohibition of continuing to teach the ideas that he exhibited. He was very original in the way he captured his ideas, reflections and thoughts. His triumphs and victories spread envy in a propitious time for those who did not tolerate that the students at the University of Salamanca went over the classroom to be able to hear him out loud.San Agustín trata de establecer por medio de su obra la Ciudad de Dios contra paganos, la noción de Estado o la Res Publica, como elemento coordinador de la sociedad. Estimará esencial el cuidado de las relaciones con la sociedad, pues la ciudad celeste protege lo más importante, lo transcendente en los hombres. San Agustín hará una crítica, profunda, radical, comprometida de la sociedad política y aclara que deberá ser siempre la sociedad religiosa la que ha de orientar a la sociedad política. Hará posible la filosofía de la historia. Fray Luis defendería siempre el derecho del hombre a poseer su plena libertad, esto le llevaría a una consecuencia fatal: la prohibición de seguir enseñando las ideas que exponía. Fue muy original en cuanto a la forma de plasmar sus ideas, reflexiones y pensamientos.
