: In the next presentation, two contemporary theories of justice are analyzed.
Based on the works of Nancy Fraser and Amartya Sen, I try to provide the theoretical
inputs necessary to rethink the concept of justice from its opposite: injustice. This
starting point shows that both the American author and the Indian thinker, discover in
the positive definition of the concept of justice, a series of difficulties that bog down the
reflective process. On the contrary, the theoretical proposal in both cases consists in
thinking of justice as a critical-negative category, that is: as a notion that acquires
meaning and existence from experiences and events experienced as unfair. At first
instance, the work aims to present each theory separately; to later, lead to a comparative
analysis that allows to visualize the virtues and the defects of each elaboration. |
