Summary: This essay analyzes the evolution of the Ibero-American Commission of Judicial Ethics, starting from the study of its origin, functions and legal nature. A disaggregated study of the work carried out by the different ethics commissions is presented, from its creation to the current commission (2006-2022), describing the activities carried out in the consultative field (analysis of the 18 opinions issued), informative, training and normative, based on ethical principles and its benefit for the Ibero-American Judicial Powers, human rights and sustainable development. Finally, the impact of these efforts in achieving goal 16 of the UN 2030 Agenda is evaluated and it is explained how their incidence contributes to the construction of the rest of the objectives that make up this public agenda.
