Instead, I argue here that the existence of a material, rigid and guaranteed constitution implies changes in the ordinary legal interpretation. However, these changes do not imply that the interpretation of the constitution is a special modality of legal interpretation. Therefore, in contemporary constitutionalism, the defense of the special interpretation of the constitution has been supported by a simplified concept of legal interpretation that does not take into account the multiplicity of methodological, interpretative and argumentative tools shared in the legal culture.En este artículo presento una reconstrucción de la práctica de interpretación jurídica ordinaria y planteo argumentos que rechazan su contraste cualitativo con la interpretación constitucional. En el constitucionalismo contemporáneo suele afirmarse que la interpretación constitucional es especial frente a la interpretación jurídica ordinaria. En su lugar, aquí argumento que la existencia de una constitución material, rígida y garantizada supone cambios en la interpretación jurídica ordinaria. Sin embargo, estos cambios no implican que la interpretación de la constitución sea una modalidad especial de interpretación jurídica.
