Cirugía reconstructiva de canceres de piel y tejidos blandos: Manejo y complicaciones

Skin cancer is defined as the uncontrolled growth of abnormal skin cells caused by the accumulation of repetitive genetic alterations. It is a disease that in recent decades has gained importance, because its incidence rates have shown significant increases worldwide, aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery has no organ or function limits. Some refer to it as the “non-visceral soft tissue specialty” to refer to the skin and soft tissues for which plastic surgeons are surgical specialists, just as dermatologists are their medical equivalents. The methodology used for this research work is part of a documentary bibliographical review, since we are going to deal with issues raised at a theoretical level such as Reconstructive Surgery of skin cancers and soft tissues: Management and complications. The data collection technique is made up of electronic materials, the latter such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct, among others, relying on the use of descriptors in health sciences or MESH terminology. The information obtained here will be reviewed for further analysis. Skin cancer is a pathology of international public concern, although detection mechanisms and currently available treatments have reduced mortality levels, the incidence of this type of cancer is increasing. Among the most important treatments is reconstructive surgery thanks to soft tissues or flaps, which can be used in different parts of the body, however, the vast majority are used for facial, head and neck cancer, among others. This treatment is extremely important since it restores the quality of life to patients in their reintegration into work and social life

Es una enfermedad que en las últimas décadas ha tomado importancia, debido a que sus tasas de incidencia han presentado aumentos importantes a nivel mundial, la cirugía plástica estética y reconstructiva no tiene límites de órgano o de función. Algunos la califican como la “especialidad de los tejidos blandos no viscerales” para hacer referencia a la piel y los tejidos blandos de los que los cirujanos plásticos son especialistas quirúrgicos, al igual que los dermatólogos son sus equivalentes médicos. La metodología utilizada para el presente trabajo de investigación, se enmarca dentro de una revisión bibliográfica de tipo documental, ya que nos vamos a ocupar de temas planteados a nivel teórico como es Cirugía reconstructiva de canceres de piel y tejidos blandos: Manejo y complicaciones. La técnica para la recolección de datos está constituida por materiales electrónicos, estos últimos como Google Académico, PubMed, Science direct, entre otros, apoyándose para ello en el uso de descriptores en ciencias de la salud o terminología MESH. La información aquí obtenida será revisada para su posterior análisis. El cáncer de piel es una patología de preocupación pública internacional, aunque los mecanismos de detección y los tratamientos disponibles en la actualidad han reducido los niveles de mortalidad, la incidencia de este tipo de cáncer va en aumento. Entre los tratamientos más importantes se encuentra la cirugía reconstructiva gracias a los tejidos blandos o colgajos, que pueden ser utilizados en diferentes partes del cuerpo, sin embargo, en su gran mayoría son utilizados para el cáncer facial, cabeza y cuello, entre otros.
