Summary: One of the main problems in the study of violence is the lack of a precise definition that accounts for the multiplicity of forms in which it occurs or, at least, points out its most important and common characteristics. When analyzing the effects of violence on women's health, it is obtained that it exposes them to a greater risk of physical and mental illnesses, which increases the interest in studying some markers that guide their diagnostic confirmation. The research aims to study the results that address this problem from different areas, promoting a comprehensive and multidisciplinary view of violence, a phenomenon with multiple social and cultural implications that influence the application of such policies and health and judicial control measures in the Republic. from Ecuador. It is necessary not only to identify and be clear about the ways in which violence between people materializes, since the theoretical ignorance of it can lead to serious consequences in the physical and psychological development of the human being, the outcome of which can result from a dysfunction of the adult until death, either in pregnant women, the fetus or in the depressed adult. The legal framework recognizes the existence of this problem, so much so that the efforts to legislate result in a set of articles and laws that seek legal consequences for those who commit them
