Summary: The essay presents psychoanalysis as a rupture with the positivist method of the 19th century, offering to criminology, then dominated by the etiological paradigm and medical knowledge, the subversive approach of the subject. It recovers the transition from the problem of a “general theory of evil”, from demonology to criminology, moving from a grammar based on religion, soul and evil, to one based on science, body and deviance. It presents how the problem was approached by Freud from his studies on “polymorphic perversion”, moving from the understanding of the abnormal to the normal. It relates the Kantian problem of “radical evil” with the Freudian “death drive”, seeking to understand the triad aggressiveness/violence/cruelty as a normal dimension of “speaking beings”. Finally, it presents the possibilities of a criminology of interactions from Freud's cultural point of view. The approach method is the deductive one, starting from selected theorizations of Freud. The method of procedure is that of the essayistic organization of arguments.
