This research contains information from a bibliographic review of a documentary type, since we are going to deal with issues raised at a theoretical level such as uterine artery emboliza-tion. The technique for data collection is made up of printed and electronic materials, the latter such as Google Scholar, Scielo, PubMed, among others. Uterine artery embolization is a technique widely used in different obstetric pathologies, whether fibroids, fibroids, postpartum hemorrhage, neoplasms, avoiding the performance of more complex and inva-sive procedures such as: myomectomy or hysterectomy. It has the advantage that it is minimally invasive, supported by guidelines through the use of imaging studies, which reduce hospital stay, however, it is not exempt from complications such as vascular lesions, contrast allergies.
