Summary: The WHO defines burns as a global health problem, with a prevalence 7 times higher in developing countries, produced mainly in the domestic sphere, prevention being the intervention that can most reduce mortality. These patients usually present hypothermia after suffering the burn and when they are transferred to a burn unit they receive more specialized care. The methodology used for this research work is part of a bibliographic review of documentary type, since we are going to deal with issues raised at a theoretical level such as Update in the management of burned patients. The technique for data collection is made up of electronic materials, the latter such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Science direct, among others, relying for this on the use of descriptors in health sciences or MESH terminology. The information obtained here will be reviewed for further analysis. The management of burned patients is carried out taking into account the degree of the burn, obviously everything is part of a physical evaluation, as a first instance, to evaluate the vital signs, since burns produce a high degree of damage to the tissues of the skin and that can affect other organs, therefore there should always be a multidisciplinary team, which can address different situations that may arise, management includes, according to the bibliography consulted, pain control, temperature control, fluid therapy in cases where it is needed , oxygen and surgical management in cases where skin grafts or another technique is required depending on the injury, in the latter case paren-teral nutrition or fasting is necessary.
