description
n most pregnancies, the appearance of changes in the skin is due to the variability of the immune, metabolic, vascular and endocrine systems that are characteristic of that stage. The result of such interactions between all these factors that occurs in such a complex state, are precisely the multiple tissue alterations. The objective of the study was to develop a bibliographical research in order to expose the dermatological changes that are generated during pregnancy. In the results, some references are presented as evidence with which cur-rent meanings are provided, hormonal and immunological alterations of pregnant women, signs and symptoms of dermatological changes during pregnancy, specific dermatoses of pregnancy. In short, the state of pregnancy produces marked variations in the immune, meta-bolic, vascular and endocrine systems that are characteristic of that stage. During pregnancy, many common skin conditions are likely to recur. The dermatological changes that occur during pregnancy can be divided into physiological changes (due to hormonal variations), alterations of pre-existing dermatoses and specific dermatoses of pregnancy
