Factores de riesgo predisponente de endometriosis
description
Endometriosis is characterized by the abnormal presence of fragments of the endometrium outside the uterus. The endo-metrium is the tissue that lines the uterine cavity, when the ovum is not fertilized, the endometrium becomes necrotic and is eliminated during menstruation to be later renewed. When this tissue develops outside the uterus, it cannot be evacuated and causes manifestations of the disease. The methodology used for this research work is part of a bibliographic review of documentary type, since we are going to deal with issues raised at a theoretical level such as predisposing risk factors for endometriosis. The technique for data collection is made up of electronic materials, the latter such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Science direct, among others, relying for this on the use of descriptors in health sciences or MESH terminology. The information obtained here will be reviewed for further analysis. As has been read in this research, there are several risk factors that predispose the appearance of endometriosis, the first are associated with age and the delay of women in becoming pregnant, since pregnancy is associated with a protective factor against this pathology, the second component is associated with hereditary and genetic processes based on chromosome 7p15.2 in European women and women af-fected by endometriosis in the first degree, a third component is associated with exposure to chemical products derived from hydrocarbons and environmental contaminants, dioxins that have effects on the reproductive, immune and endocrine systems, to name the most important.
