Well, in this paper we analyze the fundamental values of article 2 of the TEU and the political, jurisdictional and economic instruments that the European institutions have been using with quite relative results and effectiveness in the face of events that are often already accomplished.Hace años que los “chicos malos” del club europeo vulneran los valores fundamentales de la Unión Europea, mediante su corrupción, sus ataques a la independencia de sus jueces y de sus fiscales, a los medios de comunicación social y, por terminar, a colectivos sociales vulnerables, tales como los migrantes o el colectivo LGTBIQ+.
