Summary: The legal articles that are analysed here were already in the LRSC of 2011. Consequently, the aim of this paper is to show how they have been affected by the 2022 legal reform. To that end, their precedents are reviewed in light of the European normative evolution in the sector and the principle questions that were raised in the parliamentary debate are analysed. The result is assessed by paying attention to two criteria: in the one hand, its adjustment to the obligations imposed for the Directive 2018/251 transposition. In the other hand, the possible incorporation national measures of greater environmental protection. All of that without losing sight of the background in which, apparently, it is assumed that the transition towards a circular economy doesn’t require considerable changes in the classic principles that have been inspiring the European waste policy.
