Nevertheless, this situation evolved into a more complex legal and judicial system based on a more hierarchical social structure in which property was of essential importance and in which the economic value of the individual and his word occupied an essential role. Received: 11.01.2022Accepted: 14.06.2022El sistema legal sajón fue el precursor de la complicada planta judicial que durante siglos rigió el funcionamiento de las cortes de justicia inglesas. Desde un concepto en el que primaba la pertenencia a la familia y a un orden social concreto y ligado a la inicialmente fragmentaria que siguió a la caída del Imperio Romano, fue evolucionando a un sistema judicial y legal más complejo partiendo una estructura social más jerarquizada en la que la propiedad tenía una importancia esencial y en el que valor económico del individuo y su palabra ocuparon un lugar esencial.
